Tuned Reverb Overview

I’ve been testing Tuned Reverb for a few days, and I’m genuinely enjoying how quick it is to use and how musical it sounds.

The interface is simple, but the sound quality is solid. It’s refreshing to see a reverb plugin that keeps things simple while providing a decent amount of tonal shaping.

The two go-to controls for me are the Body and Air knobs. These two knobs let you dial in the tone of the reverb tail—Body adds warmth and low-end presence, while Air brightens up the high frequencies.

It’s perfect for shaping space around vocals, synths, keys, and more without overthinking it. In my opinion, these are more intuitive and quicker to use than a plain old EQ.

There are a few more handy controls to customize your reverb: Pre-Delay lets you create some room before the reverb kicks in, which helps keep vocals clean and intelligible. The Time knob covers a wide range—from tight 150ms ambiences to lush 6-second tails—while the Width knob helps place the reverb in the stereo field.

A visual spectrum display sits in the center of the GUI, which I found helpful for getting a better sense of how the reverb will affect the mix. It helps visualize how much space you occupy with the reverb, making it easier to avoid muddying up the low mids.

You also get Blend and Output controls for balancing the dry/wet signal and adjusting overall level. The plugin is clearly designed to help you dial in your sound quickly and intuitively—and it succeeds at that.

Tuned Reverb is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats and supports 64-bit Windows 10+ and macOS 10.15 or newer. You’ll need at least 4GB of RAM (8GB recommended) and a compatible DAW.
