We already have a royal fashion trend set for the summer, thanks to two princesses who both chose the same stand out look within hours of one another.

The blue trouser suit appears to be the royal look for the summer, with both the Princess of Wales and Crown Princess Victoria choosing bold and bright in the past days.  

Crown Princess Victoria kept herself in Miranda Priestley’s good books and went cerulean. She wore her Veronica Beard two piece trouser suit for World Ocean Day. For a sailing trip with Crown Prince Haakon of Norway from Monaco to Nice, she paired the suit with a casual pair of white Vagabond trainers. 

Earlier that day, she first wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi navy pumps to elevate the cerulean blue suit for the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco. 

The Princess of Wales chose a slightly darker shade for her own blue suit from the royally loved brand Alexander McQueen for a visit to the V&A East Storehouse. 

Royal watchers might remember this suit from its last appearance in late 2023. The Princess went for a summery look with her latest wear, adding a white t-shirt and chunky gold necklace. 

Catherine also wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps in navy to tour the newly opened museum.
