Princess Michael of Kent seriously injured after falling down stairs at Kensington Palace

Princess Michael Of Kent has suffered serious injury following an accident in her home at Kensington Palace.

Princess Michael, who is married to the late Queen Elizabeth II’s first cousin, Prince Michael, was seen arriving at The King’s pre-Christmas lunch on Thursday encased in splints.

According to Richard Eden of The Daily Mail, Her Royal Highness broke both wrists in the fall.

The 79-year-old royal is understood to have been walking down a staircase, whilst carrying a number of overcoats.

Princess Michael landed on the coats, which softened her fall. Nevertheless, she broke multiple bones.

The Princess told the Mail: “So many things that you rely on being able to do, like cleaning your teeth, are impossible.”

She continued: “I can type with one finger on a mobile, but I can’t use a laptop.”
